The Online version “The Leader News Online” accommodates the need of numerous subscribers accessing our regular news updates and thus broadening our scope of coverage to the outside world.

The Leader was established in 1956 by the Irish Missionaries who worked in the then Owerri Diocese. The Leader is published by Assumpta Press Owerri Nigeria.
It covers church and circular news stories, articles and features, and circulates in almost all the south eastern states to include Imo, Abia, Rivers, Anambra., Enugu, ( Nsukka in Enugu state) and recently it has opened its Abuja Route.The Leader has a strong local base and maintains a grass root focus.
