Lock Screen Compass works by displaying a service notification on the locked screen.
The appearance of the notification and the operation of the service in lock mode are highly dependent on the android version, smartphone firmware and lock screen theme (preferably default). On some custom themes, you can use a swipe to open the notification shade to see the compass.
The application was made on the occasion of the purchase of a smartphone with a magnetic field sensor and due to the bad habit of using my own applications whenever possible. It was tested only on this smartphone.
Version 1.6 added (after reading a couple of articles about the "terrible" burn-in of AMOLED displays) disabling the compass and the ability to launch several selected applications from the lock screen or through the notification shade.
Important tips.
- For the application to work, your smartphone must have a magnetic field sensor.
- The first tap on the icon starts the service showing the notification, the second (if necessary) the compass application.
- The service continues to work even after exiting the application.
- The application and service are completely closed when you click "Exit" in the notification panel.
